AUDITIONS for the 2014 Virginia Renaissance Faire

AUDITIONS for the 2014 Virginia Renaissance Faire

The faire makes use of a large cast of students, hobbyists, professionals, and volunteers each year to make Staffordshire, England come alive each spring. We have openings for townsfolk, militia, merchant seamen, musicians, and other street characters for the upcoming season.

All training is provided.  Minors are welcome to audition but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
But I’ve never done this before!

Auditioning is easy.   Just come in with about 90 seconds of memorized (or well-read) monologue (poem, play soliloquy, story or even a joke).  We'll ask you a few questions and have you try some group activities.

Those chosen for cast will be notified the same day.

Not sure if you’re ready for a cast position? The Virginia Renaissance Faire is also seeking many volunteers, both before and during the show. We need help with construction, grounds crew, front gate, ticket takers and many other areas. There are also openings for heirloom skills demonstrators for the Merchant Exchange, a new feature this year.
