For Brian Rayner the creation of furniture andsculpture from wood is an exploration of the
essential relationship between human and tree.
Each work flows from the individual beauty and
grace inherent in the growth of the tree: grain,
color variation, strength and symmetry. The life
force of the tree is present in each piece,
honoring all parties in the exchange
– user, tree, and artist.
The wonderfully whimsical yet functional wood sculpture of Charlottesville artist Brain Rayner will be featured at Artful Dimensions Gallery with our Opening Event attended by the artist on Friday evening November 1st. Come and join us for our artists reception to meet Brian , see his work and meet all of the artists with work on display at our gallery.
Artful Dimensions is a Non-Profit, Cooperative Gallery that exclusively features 3 Dimensional artwork with 8 working studios. These studios are open to the public and feature the art of Ceramic Sculpture, Mixed Media Assemblage and Art,Textile arts, Felt arts, Hand Forged Iron Work, Wood Carving, and Polymer Clay.
