Stafford County Agricultural Fair & Hartwood Days Festival

This FREE (no admission) Fair is held in Stafford County, in the Historic District of Hartwood along the Civil War Trail, and offers families and youth of ALL ages the chance to have fun and learn something new (or maybe something old).  There are LOTS of free activities for youth, including the Fire Department Smoke House, and the Trailblazer® Adventure program, where all the kids can earn a free patch!

Visit our First Responder's Area, see an operating fire station, check out their  trucks & equipment, sit inside of a police cruiser, take a trip through the Fire Department Smoke House, and don't miss the great demonstrations going on through the day.

Visit our Living History Area (LHA) and take a “walk through time”, where you can see everything from Romans to Recon!  An interactive area, see, talk, touch and learn about the different eras of our past, and the people of those times.

Visit the Agricultural Area featuring the Stafford County Agricultural Competitions, and get back to your 'Roots', with plant & livestock shows, Arts & Crafts competitions, and exhibits!  There's something to interest everyone here!

And of course in the main area, thrill yourself riding the rides,  grab a bite to eat with some great fair food, play one of the games, listen to the concerts, and check out all of the different booths, with over 250 demonstrations, crafts, exhibits, and vendors. (Rides have an additional cost, ticket packages available on the website)

Looking for entertainment? Our bands don't play for peanuts....they play for canned foods!!   Live bands play starting at 9 a.m. on the main stage, until the Pageant takes over at 5 p.m. on Saturday.  The Community stage will be open from 9-5 near the LHA, and will feature some of the area's best and brightest!  Sunday the Son-Jam starts at 4, and will feature some of the area’s best Contemporary Christian Groups.  And in between groups there are exhibitions and performances from local dancers and other artists.  All concerts are FREE, but we do request that you bring a canned good for our Food Bank Donation box!

Be a part of History in the Making as the second annual Miss Stafford Pageant unfolds on Saturday night.  Young women in the region, ages 14 – 27 who want to have opportunities to win scholarships and prizes, are encouraged to participate as the pageant crowns the 2015 Miss Stafford County, and this new queen continue on to help Stafford close out the 350th Anniversary of Stafford County.

And make sure that if you have Girl, Boy, or Cub Scouts in your area, you bring them out to see the special Scout Attractions.  More event info is available at http://www.staffordcountyfair.org and check us out on Facebook too (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Stafford-County-Ag-Fair-Hartwood-Days-Festival/317100132049)!

Hope to see you there!
