Wawa and Local Dignitaries Celebrate Grand Opening of New Stafford County Store

On Friday, January 17 at 10 AM, Wawa is celebrating the grand opening of its new Stafford County, VA store located at 9 South Gateway Drive in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The celebration will include fan fare, a charitable hoagie building competition between members of the Stafford County Fire & Rescue Department and Stafford County Sheriff's Office, and free coffee for the first ten days the store is open! The grand opening of its Stafford County store marks the first store to open in 2014. Throughout the year, Wawa plans to use its new store design prototype to bring the Wawa experience to more people than ever before, with 45 new stores opening throughout its market area by year-end. Furthermore, 2014 is a milestone year for Wawa as it marks Wawa's 50th Anniversary in retail!

As a highlight of the grand opening event, the festivities will include local representative Jack Cavalier, Chairman of the Stafford Board of Supervisors; members of the Stafford County Fire & Rescue Department and Stafford County Sheriff's Office; Wawa Area Manager, Rick Waite; Wawa General Manager, Jason Reynolds; Wawa associates and customers; and Wawa's mascot, Wally Goose, who will all join together for a ceremonial ribbon cutting and ceremony celebrating the many ways Wawa seeks to fulfill lives every day.
