'Happy' Video Highlights a Very Happy Fredericksburg
Local video will make your day as Fredericksburg smiles, dances and sings.
With more than 38,500 views so far, a new YouTube video of Pharrell Williams' "Happy" includes Fredericksburg locals dancing along in stores, public squares and street corners throughout the city.
Organizer Melvin Brown of VideoMann Productions spoke with the Free Lance Star about the project, which took two weeks to film with the assistance of several local videographers.
“I would walk down the street and pop my head in stores, and people were just so happy. All the energy and joy gives me chills just thinking of it,” Brown told the paper. “I loved bringing everyone together, and my one hope is that the happiness isn’t forgotten and never goes away.”
