ON THE WILD SIDE

Back with photography, photo editing, art and wildlife.

Yes, I've been negligent of the blog here lately. I've got good reason. I've been working on The Studio Store. I've been playing with wildlife. I've been editing. Good reason, right?

So let me tell you what's been going on. The Studio Store is officially open. I mean, it's been open for awhile, but with limited art. All art is now uploaded and you can purchase art prints, framed art, canvas wraps, greeting cards and more. Have a blast and window shop on your lunch hour.

Another gallery has been added to the gallery. This one's called On the Wild Side. No, not what you think. It's about wildlife and semi wildlife. Yes, in my eyes there's such a thing as semi wildlife, as in feral cats, zoo photos and maybe some squirrels. The gallery is currently limited and some of the photos are in The Studio Store. I'll be rescheduling the shooting schedule to continue to add more to this gallery. While it takes patience and practice, I love it.

And there's been the photo editing. Ah, the photo editing. I recently had a client who wanted a photo of their in-laws historic house. It was a tough shot. Tight shooting conditions, cars in the way. Middle of the day for the shoot. And to add to that, the wonderful city where it was shot has millions and millions of electrical/telephone/whatever wires hanging all over the place, causing frustrating shadows and an ugly photo.

This, too, was an exercise in patience. But it paid off. The receiver of this gift absolutely loved it. I was told: "You almost gave my mother-in-law a heart attack". Can't get a compliment much better than that. And I mean, thank goodness it really didn't affect her health.

I'll be out shooting again next week. Even though she play havoc with my allergies, I just love hanging out with Mother Nature.

Happy shooting - Kerri
