Bryan Marshall Berger, 34

Bryan Marshall Berger, 34, of Spotsylvania County died Monday, April 28, 2014 at Mary Washington Hospital.

Bryan was a 1997 graduate of Courtland High School where he was a member of the football team and Debate Club. He then went on to graduate from Randolph Macon College. Bryan was a former member of the Chancellor Volunteer Fire and Rescue. Bryan had worked as Dispatcher for the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Department prior to becoming a Deputy with the department.

Survivors include his wife, Heidi L. Berger; parents Vonda and Bonita Berger of Spotsylvania; sister, Christine Squire and her daughter, Leanne of Woodbridge; paternal grandparents, Billie and Meryle Berger of Houston, TX; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; his in-laws, James and Diane Duncan of Leavittsburg, OH; and sister-in-law, Lisa Gilanyi and husband Don and their children, Zackary and Skyler all of Southington, OH. Bryan is also survived by his and Heidi’s “children” Zeeva and Beefy.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8pm Thursday, May 1 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.

A funeral will be held at 11am Friday, May 2 at Spotswood Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
