Diane Lauer Collins, 56

Diane Lauer Collins, 56 of Spotsylvania County, passed away at Mary Washington Hospital Saturday, April 26, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. 

Diane worked for over 10 years at the Friendly’s restaurant in Fredericksburg as a manager before her illness. She was a loving mother and nana to all her grandchildren, and even to children who weren’t hers. She loved to shop, enjoyed country music and mostly being a friend to all. 

She is survived by a son; Joseph Collins Jr. and wife Jennifer of New York; two daughters, Sheena Trautman and husband Robert of Virginia and Tracey Collins and Fiancee’ Ricardo Johnson of Virginia; two brothers, John T. Lauer III and wife Kimberly and Carl N. Lauer and wife Susan all of Virginia. 

Diane was preceded in death by her parents; John T. and Carol Ann Lauer Jr. and her granddaughter, Cloe Nicole Smith. 

Services will be private.
