Laura B. Thorsted, 54

Laura B. Thorsted, 54, of Spotsylvania County died Saturday, April 5, 2014 at her home.

Laura moved to the area from Florida, where she worked for Bell South.  She transferred to Northern Virginia to be closer to her soon-to-be husband.  She was a devoted mother, whose life revolved around her girls.  Instilling values of strong work ethic, education and family, she loved being a mother.  She always put her daughters first.

Survivors include her husband, David Thorsted; five daughters, Alyssa Elaine Thorsted, Jacquelyn Anabella Thorsted, Amanda Mary Thorsted, Ava Nichole Thorsted, and Alexandra Rose Thorsted; two step children, Kenny Daved Thorsted and his wife, Mary, Christina Ferrara Thorsted; three grandchildren, Tara, Hayden and Ty; and a special sister-in-law and caregiver, whom she lived with for the last 6 months, Michelle Morgan.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday, April 18, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.

A service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at the funeral home.
