Linda Pisenti, 66

Linda Delahay Pisenti, 66, of Fredericksburg passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Mike Conley Hospice House in Clermont, Florida.

Mrs. Pisenti was a native of Missouri.  She was a graduate of Oklahoma State University.  In 1969 she married David W. Pisenti and in 1973 they moved to Fredericksburg.  She was a teacher for several years in the Fredericksburg area. In 1985 she became co-owner of Jabberwocky Children’s Bookstore with her dear friend, Mona Albertine.  For the past eight years she served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for the Fredericksburg area.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, David W. Pisenti; three children Matthew Pisenti and his wife, Jessica of Roanoke, Jill Porter and her husband, John of Richmond and Karie Pisenti of Houston, TX; six grandchildren Logan, McKenzie, David, Grace, Mark and Anna; her father, Ed Delahay and his wife, Roseland; her brother, David Delahay and his wife, Charlotte all of Bartlesville, OK; her sister, Leslie McKinzie of Clermont, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Meloy Delahay. 

The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 18 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.

A service will be held at 10 a.m. Sat., April 19 at the funeral home.   Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
