Luther 'Dick' Goodman, 89

Luther Richard “Dick” Goodman, 89, of Stafford County, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014, at his home.

He retired as a professional golfer with the PGA Tour, and had served in the U.S. Army during World War II.  He was the recipient of two purple hearts.  He was a member of Regester Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Shirley A. Goodman, his children, Barry Arbaugh and Terri Hubbell; grandchildren, Bryan and Matthew Hubbell, Rachel Rodriguez and Rebekah Nelson; and great grandchildren, Cassandra and Christian Rodriguez.  He was preceded in death by a son, Steve Goodman.

Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 25, at Quantico National Cemetery.  A memorial service will be held at noon on Friday, at Regester Chapel United Methodist Church.
