Robert Edward Mansius, 80

Robert Edward Mansius, 80, of Stafford County, VA,  formerly of Sayville, New York passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, VA.

Mr. Mansius was a social studies teacher at Bayport/Blue Point School District for 30 years.  He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

Survivors include his wife Joan; his sister, Sister Marian Rose Mansius (“Shirley”); sister-in-law Ruth Downs; and nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Rosalia Mansius; his brothers Edward and Donald Mansius; and sister Marilyn Nowicki.

A graveside service will be held at noon on Monday, May 19, 2014 at Quantico National Cemetery.
