Sarah Calhoun Adams, 85, of Spotsylvania County crossed over to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 11, 2014.
Mrs. Adams was a floral designer during most of her life while living in Fort Pierce and Vero Beach, Florida. She retired to West Virginia and moved to Spotsylvania in 2000 to be near her daughter Jimmye. Her passion in her later years was her African Gray parrot named Beau. They carried on many conversations with one another to the delight of her friends.
Survivors include her two daughters, Jimmye Prescott of Spotsylvania and Linn Maulik of Decatur, Alabama; son Marshall Prescott of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; granddaughter Amanda Speed; and two grandson Tyler Speed and Daniel Prescott.
Ms. Adams will be interred near her father, Robert Nottingham Perkins, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Macon, Georgia where she was born.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice in memory of Sarah.
