Accident on Fall Hill Avenue Sends Two to Hospital

The crash on Fall Hill Avenue had the road closed in both directions Friday morning.

A 42-year-old Fredericksburg woman has been charged with failure to yield the right of way after an accident on Fall Hill Avenue Friday morning.

Police and emergency services responded to a motor vehicle crash at 7:50 a.m. involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle in the 3300 block of Fall Hill Avenue, said police spokesperson Natalia Bledsoe. All lanes of traffic were closed for approximately 30 minutes.

"The crash occurred when the driver of the passenger car, a 2012 Honda Accord, pulled out of the entrance to Fall Hill Apartments and struck a Harley Davidson motorcycle that was traveling westbound on Fall Hill Avenue," said Bledsoe. "Both the driver of the car and the motorcycle were transported to the hospital. The motorcycle operator, a 63-year-old Mineral man, was lying in the roadway when the first officer arrived on the scene. He suffered significant, but it is believed non-life-threatening, injuries."
