Aggravated Assault Reported at Dunning Mills Inn

Victim injured, but refused transport to hospital.

A resident at the Dunning Mills Inn Extended Stay Hotel on Jefferson Davis Highway, reported Oct. 30 that after hearing a knock, he answered the door to his room and was immediately assaulted by three male subjects wearing ski masks and black gloves. This occurred at about 11:20 p.m.

The victim reported that two of the assailants were also wearing brass knuckles, according to Fredericksburg police. A female inside the room threatened to call 911, and the three offenders fled the scene.

The victim had a severe laceration to his mouth and the back of his
head, but he refused to be transported to the hospital. A few hours after this incident, officers responded back to the room when the residents reported that the tires on their vehicles were all punctured and flattened.
