Armed Man Arrested Impersonating Officer
Suspect had tactical equipment, guns and badges in car.
A man impersonating a law enforcement officer was caught after flashing a badge and gun at residents in the Foxwood Village subdivision in Stafford County. Stafford County Sheriff's charged Craig McSween with impersonating an officer, brandishing a firearm and driving on a suspended license.
A press release from the Stafford County Sheriff's Office says that on Saturday May 7, around 12:15 p.m., a resident reported McSween's silver Chevy Impala driving very slowly through the neighborhood, flashing a badge as he drove past the witness' house. McSween shortly thereafter returned to the house, got out of his car and brandished a handgun on his hip by lifting up his shirt. McSween then allegedly accused the witness of driving recklessly and identified himself as an employee of a federal law enforcement agency.
McSween left after his advances were rebuffed when the witness asked to see his credentials.
