Armed Robbery Tuesday Morning at Captain D's

Fredericksburg police and detectives continued to search the area Tuesday morning.

A male subject entered the Captain D’s Restaurant at 2626 Princess Anne St. at 8:28 a.m. Tuesday and forced an employee into the walk-in freezer at gunpoint, Fredericksburg Police spokesperson Natatia Bledsoe said. 

The offender grabbed an unknown amount of cash and ran from the premises.  "Police and detectives are on the scene and in the area searching," Bledsoe said. 

No injuries were reported.  The business was not open at the time of the incident.

The suspect was described as a white male wearing all black clothing and a mask over his face.  He was armed with a handgun.

Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the vicinity of Rt. 1 and Princess Anne Street Tuesday morning should contact police immediately at 540-373-3122.
