Body Found May Be Missing Officer, According to Reports

Investigators had spotted Kevin Quick's car in Manassas last weekend. Body recovered in Central Virginia.

The body of police Captain Kevin Quick may have been recovered in a Central Virginia community, according to multiple reports.

NBC 29 sited an unidentified police source who noted an official identification has not been made, but the body is believed to be Quick.

A resident of Rockfish, Quick went missing last weekend. Surveillance cameras showed his car in Manassas on Saturday.

The car was eventually found in Louisa. A pair of siblings, Daniel Mathis and Mersadies Shelton have been charged with the theft of Quick's Toyota 4Runner.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch noted that the investigation into Quick’s disappearance is still active, as of Thursday afternoon. 

“We are still encouraging the public to come forward with any tips related to his disappearance by calling the Virginia State Police by cell at #77 or at 434-352-7128,” said State Police Public Relations Director Corinne Geller.
