Bouncers Catch Thief Red Handed

FREDERICKSBURG POLICE INCIDENTS TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2011

UNLAWFUL ENTRY:

800 block College Ave, Oct. 28 – Oct. 31 8:45 p.m. A resident reported that he returned home and found items inside the house had been rearranged in his absence. There was no sign of forced entry to the residence. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

VEHICLE TAMPERING:

Brock’s Riverside Grill, 503 Sophia St, Oct. 31 9:50 p.m. Police responded to the parking lot for a report of a person who was tampering with a vehicle. When police arrived, two employees of Brock’s were detaining an intoxicated male subject; the employees told the officers that they had caught the subject holding a flashlight and rummaging inside a patron’s car. The subject became combative and attempted to flee when the officers started arrest procedures, and a search subsequent to his arrest revealed a cigarette pack and lighter that had been stolen from the car. Paul Strough, 41, of Spotsylvania was arrested for public intoxication, tampering with a motor vehicle, petit larceny, and obstruction of justice. Strough was incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under a $1000 bond.

DUI ARRESTS:

Ryan Workman, 26, of Rapidan was arrested in the 1900 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy.

Wallace Nelson King, 18, of Fredericksburg was arrested in the 1200 block of William St.

ARRESTS:

Antonio Samuels, 25, of Spotsylvania was arrested on a warrant from Spotsylvania charging him with probation violation.
