Bowling Green Man Arrested on Lewd Charges

Two witnesses lead police to man exposing himself in Central Park parking lots.

Fredericksburg police arrested a man after two residents reported that he was exposing himself in a parking lot at Central Park.

Police responded to Once Upon a Child at 1831 Carl D. Silver Parkway on Aug. 4 at around 12:25 p.m. after a shopper reported that a man was exposing himself as he sat in his parked car.

Recording the license plate number of the car, the witness called 911 but the suspect left before police arrived.

A few minutes later, police received a second report when a witness alerted an officer patrolling the Fredericksburg Shopping Center to a man exposing himself as he sat in a car near Subway. The officer responded, detaining the suspect, 61-year-old Bowling Green resident Roy Coleman, on the premises. The first witness identified Coleman as the man she had seen earlier.

Coleman was arrested for making an obscene sexual display. He is being held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under a $2,500 bond.
