Bullet Enters Guest's Room Through Wall at Dunning Mills Inn

A guest at Dunning Mills Inn reported she heard a gunshot at 1:15 p.m. on March 23, then a bullet entered her room through a shared wall and impacted the ceiling, Fredericksburg Police spokesperson Natatia Bledsoe said.

Police investigated and an occupant of the next-door room was arrested for reckless handling of a firearm.

Charles Anthony Poole, 30, of no fixed address, was released after arrest by the magistrate on a $2,500 bond.

There were no injuries.

ASSAULT:
2300 block Plank Rd, 3/23 9:00 p.m. A Spotsylvania man reported that he was assaulted as he walked from Carlos O’Kelly’s back to his room at the Quality Inn. The victim reported that two white males in their late teens to early 20s pushed him to the ground and struck him repeatedly in the face and torso. Nothing was taken from the victim. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY:
1000 block Caroline St, 3/21 – 3/22 2:20 p.m. A resident reported that an unknown person entered his apartment by breaking in through a back window. Nothing appeared to be stolen. The investigation is ongoing.

LARCENY:
900 block Jefferson Davis Hwy, 3/22 11:30 a.m. – 2:40 p.m. A resident reported that a license plate was stolen from her vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

2500 block Manor Ct, 3/22 5:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. A resident reported that his bicycle was stolen from a staircase where it had been secured with a chain and lock. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

VANDALISM:
900 block Caroline St, 3/22 – 3/23 8:15 a.m. A resident reported that his motorcycle was damaged, apparently when an unknown person pushed the bike over. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

DUI ARRESTS:
Olen Wright, 59, of Stafford was arrested for DUI after causing an accident in the 800 block of William Street.

Amber Riley, 21, of Stafford was arrested for DUI in the 400 block of William Street.

Richard Washington, 80, of Bowling Green was arrested for DUI after causing an accident in the 200 block of Howison Avenue.

David Eubanks, 30, of Spotsylvania was arrested for DUI in the 1500 block of Carl D Silver Pkwy.

ARRESTS:
David Mould, 55, of Fredericksburg was arrested for aggressive solicitation.

Dennis Heflin, 56, of Fredericksburg was arrested for aggressive solicitation.

Lilliana Hilton, 52, of Spotsylvania was arrested for shoplifting from Wegmans.

Junaid Alma, 18, of Spotsylvania was arrested for embezzlement.

Robert Brown, 58, of no fixed address was arrested for public intoxication.

Jubarie Clarke, 22, of Quantico was arrested for three counts of hit and run.

Kyle Mey, 26, of Fredericksburg was arrested twice for inhaling noxious chemicals and for driving while his license is revoked.

Orrin Levi, 51, of no fixed address was arrested for public intoxication.

Nicole Evans, 26, of Fredericksburg was arrested for trespassing.

Atticus Cadaret, 18, of Fredericksburg was arrested for possession of marijuana, underage possession of alcohol, and trespassing.

Benjamin Cunningham, 19, of Fredericksburg was arrested for underage possession of alcohol and trespassing.

Andrew Mann, 26, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery.

Preston Hood, 47, of Springfield was arrested for public intoxication, domestic assault and battery, and assault on a law enforcement officer.

Jovan Boley, 33, of Fredericksburg was arrested on a warrant from Spotsylvania charging her with assault and battery.

Charles Maddox, 24, of Spotsylvania was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.
