Bus Crash Sends One to Hospital

The bus driver had to be extricated from the vehicle, according to officials.

An accident Wednesday morning involving a Salvation Army bus sent one man to the hospital, Michael Jones, Fredericksburg Fire Department deputy fire chief, said in an email

The crash occureed on Morningside Dr. near Lafayette Blvd. when the vehicle allegedly hit a tree.  The bus driver had to be extricated, and was transported to Mary Washington Hospital, Jones said.  There were no other patients.

"There are no further details at this time," Jones said.
