Car Stolen, Found Later With Gunfire Damage

One of two cars stolen in last two days, according to Fredericksburg Police Department.

A car stolen from a downtown Fredericksburg home Sunday night was found later with gunfire damage, according to Fredericksburg City Police.

A 71-year-old resident of the 1200 block of Buckner Street woke up Monday to find that the car had been stolen overnight.

Officers located the car in the 200 block of Duke Street with evidence of new damage caused by gunfire, according to a police release.

Another vehicle was reported stolen mid-day Monday in the 900 block of Caroline Street. That vehicle, a red Isuzu Trooper with Virginia plates, has not been located.
