Car Stolen, Returned Damaged in Mary Washington Hospital Lot

A truck was also found moved from a hospital lot in March.

An unusual car theft has left a woman's car damaged in the parking lot at Mary Washington Hospital. And this isn't the first time.

Police responded Saturday afternoon to the parking lot at 1001 Sam Perry Blvd. The victim told officers that an unknown person had stolen her car from where she had parked it.

But the victim found the car in a different parking space in the lot, with damage to the exterior, according to police. The investigation is ongoing.

In March, a truck was stolen from the lot at 1201 Sam Perry Blvd. An officer patrolling the area found the pickup truck abandoned behind the Fredericksburg Shopping Center. When contacted, the pickup's owner told police that the truck should have been in the hospital lot.
