Catalytic Converters Targeted by Thieves

FREDERICKSBURG POLICE INCIDENTS

TUESDAY, JULY 19, 2011

LARCENY:

Toys R Us, 3101 Plank Rd, July 18 8:15 pm – 8:30 pm. A Spotsylvania resident reported that the catalytic converter was stolen from her vehicle in the parking lot. Two additional vehicles in a nearby lot were also found with the catalytic converters removed. The investigation is ongoing.

900 block Littlepage St, July 16 – July 18 7:30 am. A resident reported that three bicycles were stolen from the carport. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Old Town Bicycles, 1907 Plank Rd, July 18 12:30 pm. A Stafford resident reported that his lunch bag and iPad were stolen from his vehicle behind the store. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

VANDALISM:

Merryman’s Florist, 1230 Jefferson Davis Hwy, July 17 6:00 pm – July 18 9:00 am. The owner reported that a window on her company van was broken. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

DUI ARRESTS:

Derrick Evans, 44, of Bristow was arrested in the 1600 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy.

ARRESTS:

James Lawrence, 45, of Fredericksburg was arrested for violation of a protective order.

Juvenile female, 17, was arrested for shoplifting at Target.

Martin Ridgeway, 21, of Stafford was arrested for possession of alcohol on the riverbank, possession of glass on the riverbank, and littering.

Ervin Lewis, 18, of Fredericksburg was arrested for malicious wounding.
