Check Fraud Reported in Fredericksburg

FREDERICKSBURG POLICE INCIDENTS THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 1, 2011

FRAUD:

Wells Fargo Bank, 614 Princess Anne St, Aug. 31 9:30 p.m. The victim reported that she was informed by her bank that a male subject had cashed four checks in large amounts against her account. The investigation is ongoing.

VANDALISM:

1600 block Washington Ave, Aug. 31 9 p.m. A City employee reported that he found graffiti along the brick wall of the Canal Path. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

ARRESTS:

Rhamele Williams, 25, of Fredericksburg was arrested for shoplifting from Wal-Mart.

Monte Etcheverry, 32, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery, possession of marijuana, preventing an individual from summoning law enforcement and violation of a protective order.
