Several wallet thefts reported

The following items come from the Fredericksburg Police Department. In incidents where arrests are made, charges are merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. Arrested individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

FREDERICKSBURG POLICE INCIDENTS  
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 2011
 
LARCENY:
 
Otter House, 1005 Princess Anne St, 12/24 – 12/31 (reported 2/04)  The business owner reported that copper light bases were stolen from the exterior of the building.  The investigation is ongoing.
 
Panera Bread, 1760 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 2/5 1:30 pm – 2:10 pm.  A customer reported that her purse was stolen from the back of her chair and her credit card was used to make a purchase at a local business.  The investigation is ongoing.
 
Panera Bread, 1760 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 2/5 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm.  A customer reported that her wallet was stolen from her purse and her credit card was used to make a purchase at a local business.  The investigation is ongoing.
 
Bottom Dollar, 515 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 2/5 3:40 pm.  A Stafford resident reported that she accidentally left her purse in her shopping cart after unloading her groceries and when she returned to retrieve it, the purse had been recovered but the wallet was missing.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.
 
James Monroe High School, 2300 Washington Ave, 2/04 3:30 pm.  A student reported that his iPod was stolen from a lecture hall.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.
 
Walmart, 1800 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 2/5 4:30 pm.  A Spotsylvania resident reported that she accidentally left her wallet at the cashier counter and when she returned to retrieve it, the wallet was gone.  A review of the surveillance video showed a female in line behind the victim placing the wallet into her own purse.  This female was subsequently identified as Juana Pacheco, 43, of Spotsylvania; Pacheco was arrested for larceny and released by the magistrate on a $2500 bond.  The purse and its contents were recovered and returned to the owner.    
 
1700 block Dixon St, 2/5 5:00 pm – 2/6 10:00 am.  A property owner reported that various items of value were stolen from a storage shed in the back yard.  No suspects or witnesses at this time. 

VANDALISM:
 
600 block Maury St, 2/04 4:30 pm – 9:15 pm.  A resident reported that a tire on her vehicle was slashed.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.
 
2500 block Manor Dr, 2/6 1:00 am – 9:30 am.  A resident reported that graffiti was spray painted on his door and on the sidewalk in front of his apartment.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.
 
2300 block Cowan Blvd, 2/5 10:30 am – 2/6 11:30 am.  Two residents reported that graffiti was spray painted on their vehicles.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

HIT AND RUN:
 
1600 block Augustine Ave, 2/6 1:40 am.  A UMW student reported that her parked vehicle was struck and damaged by a black Jeep whose driver then fled from the scene.  Witnesses to the incident identified the driver of the Jeep and warrants were obtained for Alexandros Kipreos, 21, of Stafford charging him felony hit and run and driving while suspended.  Kipreos had not been arrested by the time of this report.
 
1000 block Carl D Silver Pkwy, 2/6 3:00 am.  A resident reported that her vehicle was rear- ended by another vehicle while she was stopped at the intersection with Plank Rd.  No known suspects at this time. 
 
DUI ARRESTS:
 
Christopher Howard, 27, of Woodford was arrested for DUI and possession of marijuana in the 1900 block of Princess Anne St.
 
ARRESTS:
 
Gene Callaway, 46, of no fixed address was arrested for aggressive solicitation.
 
Timothy Murtaugh, 41, of Arlington was arrested for public intoxication.
 
Tyrone Tillery, 37, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery.
 
Rodney Smith, 35, of Fredericksburg was arrested for public intoxication.
 
Lisa Bunns, 28, of Kinsale was arrested for attempting to obtain money by false pretenses and felony shoplifting from Walmart.
 
James Howard, 59, of Culpeper was arrested for public intoxication.
 
Michelle Holler, 19, of Fredericksburg was arrested for assault and battery and destruction of property.
 
Bobby Dahmen, 29, of Spotsylvania was arrested for possession of a concealed weapon.
 
Anthony Moore, 45, of no fixed address was arrested on a warrant from Prince William County charging him with failure to appear in court.
