Larcenies, vandalism and arrests reported in Fredericksburg.

  • The following items come from the Fredericksburg Police Department. In incidents where arrests are made, charges are merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. Arrested individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. 

FREDERICKSBURG POLICE INCIDENTS WEDNESDAY, MARCH 30, 2011

LARCENY:

Noble Cars, 1000 Noble Way, March 24 – March 29 9:00 a.m. A manager reported that a new vehicle was stolen from the lot. Two subjects had expressed interest in purchasing the vehicle on an earlier date, and it is believed that the subjects swapped out the vehicle’s ignition key with one that was similar in appearance before handing the fraudulent key back to the salesman. The subjects were both white males in their 30’s, well-dressed, and spoke English with Slavic accents. One of the subjects had a full beard. The vehicle is a blue 2011 Mercedes S550v with four doors and leather interior. The investigation is ongoing.

Central Station, 1917 Princess Anne St, March 26 11:00 p.m. A patron reported that she dropped her ID card while inside the club and a male subject picked it up and refused to return it. A suspect has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.

1400 block Dandridge St, March 27 5:00 p.m.  – 5:45 p.m. A resident reported that her laptop computer was stolen from her unsecured vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Rappahannock Regional Library, 1201 Caroline St, March 28 8:45 p.m. A resident reported that his wallet was stolen from a desk in the computer room. The investigation is ongoing.

500 block Willis St, March 26 11:00 p.m.  – March 28 8:30 a.m. A resident reported that his iPod was stolen from his unsecured vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Sport and Health, 1191 Central Park Blvd, March 29 8:50 p.m. A manager reported that several pieces of equipment were stolen during the past week. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

VANDALISM:

100 block William St, March 29 1:00 p.m. A city employee reported that graffiti was found spray painted on a traffic control box. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

1300 block Rowe St, March 10 – March 29 1:15 p.m. The property owner reported that a window was broken on the unoccupied residence, apparently by BB shot. A suspect has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.

1600 block Caroline St, March 29 5:20 p.m. A resident reported that her side mirror was broken off her vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Golds Gym, 2380 Plank Rd, March 29 &:20 p.m.  – 8:20 p.m. A patron reported that her vehicle was scratched and damaged by a sharp object. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

DUI ARREST:

Haylee Hill, 22, was arrested in the 400 block of George St.

ARRESTS:

Jeffrey Gipe, 39, of Chesterfield was arrested for felony shoplifting from Target, conspiracy, grand larceny, and possession of burglary tools.

Sarah Gipe, 29, of Chesterfield was arrested for grand larceny, conspiracy, and possession of burglary tools.

Stephanie Smith, 24, of Fredericksburg was arrested for possession of marijuana.

Hakim Ellis, 31, of Fredericksburg was arrested for possession of marijuana and felony shoplifting (third offense) from Sheetz.
