City Blotter - Presidents Day Edition

Three day weekend keeps local police busy.

The following items come from the Fredericksburg Police Department. In incidents where arrests are made, charges are merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. Arrested individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.

FREDERICKSBURG POLICE INCIDENTS TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 22, 2011

LARCENY:

700 block Caroline St, Feb. 11 – Feb 18 3:15 p.m. A resident reported that two shutters were stolen from the exterior of her home. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

800 block Princess Anne St, Feb. 18 5:30 p.m. – 8:45 p.m. A Spotsylvania resident reported that her vehicle was stolen while it was parked on the street. The vehicle is a black 2005 Jaguar sedan with Virginia license plates. The investigation is ongoing.

1900 block Woodlyn Dr, Feb. 13 – Feb. 18 7:45 p.m. A resident reported that two rucksacks containing military gear were stolen from a locked storage facility in the basement. The locking mechanism on the door to the storage unit had also been pried apart. The investigation is ongoing.

1300 block Washington Ave, Feb. 18 11:00 p.m. – Feb. 19 8:00 a.m. A resident reported that a window was broken on her vehicle and items of value were stolen from inside. While investigating this report, the officer found another vehicle on the street with similar da.m.age and the contents of its glove box strewn about. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

700 block Mary Ball St, Feb. 19 8:30 a.m. A resident reported that her front license plate was stolen from her vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Lowes, 1361 Carl D Silver Pkwy, Feb. 20 3:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. A patron reported that her purse was stolen from a shopping cart. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

1400 block Washington Ave, Feb. 18 5:00 p.m. – Feb. 21 7:00 a.m. A contractor reported that a copper gutter was stolen from the house under construction. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Castiglias, 324 Willia.m. St, Feb. 20 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. A Winchester resident reported that his ca.m.era and two power cords were stolen from the warehouse area located behind the restaurant. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Rent A Center, 1255 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Feb. 11 11:30 a.m. – Feb. 14 2:00 p.m. A manager reported that two televisions were stolen from the storage room. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Kohls, 1571 Carl D Silver Pkwy, Feb. 19 10:00 a.m. A loss prevention employee reported that a female subject left the store without paying for merchandise she had concealed in her bag. The offender left the scene in a black Toyota sedan. The investigation is ongoing.VANDALISM:

900 block Willia.m. St, Feb. 19 7:00 p.m. – Feb. 20 11:00 a.m. A resident reported that the rear window on his vehicle was shattered. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

HIT AND RUN:

700 block a.m.elia St, Feb. 19 – Feb. 20 7:30 a.m. A resident reported that his vehicle was struck and da.m.aged while parked on the street. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

600 block Lafayette Blvd, Feb. 19 8:45 p.m. – 10:50 p.m. A resident reported that his vehicle was struck and da.m.aged while parked on the street. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Regal Cinema, 3301 Plank Rd, Feb. 19 6:00 p.m. – 8:50 p.m. A Dumfries resident reported that his vehicle was struck and da.m.aged while parked in the lot. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Ha.m.pton Inn, 1080 Hospitality Ln, Feb. 18 10:45 p.m. – Feb. 19 11:00 a.m. A Florida resident reported that her vehicle was struck and da.m.aged while parked in the lot. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

DUI ARRESTS: Tianna Sheets, 29, of Spotsylvania was arrested in the 1200 block of Lafayette Blvd.

Howard Blackburn, 20, of Spotsylvania was arrested for DUI and underage possession of alcohol in the 900 block of Sophia St.

ARRESTS:

Lenetta Gilbert, 42, of no fixed address was arrested for trespassing.

Darrell Groover, 33, of Fredericksburg was arrested for possession of marijuana.

Carl Scott, 46, of no fixed address was arrested for drinking in public and possession of glass on the riverbank.

Ruy Melo, 44, of no fixed address was arrested for drinking in public and possession of alcohol on the riverbank.

Ralph Tuncalp, 42, of no fixed address was arrested for drinking in public and possession of alcohol on the riverbank.

Aturo Montecinos, 22, of Stafford was arrested for possession of alcohol on the riverbank and possession of glass on the riverbank.

Anthony Valdez, 26, of Jacksonville, Florida was arrested for domestic assault and battery.

Dorothy Murphy, 48, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery.

Michelle Foster, 18, of Colonial Beach was arrested for shoplifting from Kohls.

Chineyeze Dorsla, 27, of Fredericksburg was arrested for grand larceny.

Tyler Stewart, 20, of Fredericksburg was arrested for public intoxication and underage possession of alcohol.

Luke Dick, 18, of Annapolis, Maryland was arrested for public intoxication and underage possession of alcohol.

Quincy Willia.m.s, 34, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery and preventing another person from calling 911.

Carl Scott, 46, of no fixed address was arrested for aggressive solicitation.

Daniel Spencer, 31, of Fredericksburg was arrested for public intoxication and assault on law enforcement.

Adrian Jackson, 28, of Spotsylvania was arrested for probation violation, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Emily McKinney, 18, of Spotsylvania was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.

Sierra Da.m.eron, 19, of Spotsylvania was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.

Kevin Thompson, 31, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery.

Nicholas Apostle, 23, of Nashville, Tennessee was arrested on warrants from Maryland charging him with larceny and credit card theft.
