However, the city council will also be tackling a number of other issues, including:
- Recognizing bike month in the city, via proclamation.
- Three public hearings on special use permits; one which would allow Dominion Power to expand an existing electrical substation at 1401 Powhatan Street, another granting special permission for a new fast food restaurant at 2008 Lafayette Boulevard, and renewal of a special use permit for the Chaplin Youth Center, a group home for children going through the juvenile justice system.
- The council will also consider funding a $90,000 study of the city's water and sewer management and rate systems.
