The Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office is searching for a suspect in connection with the death of a man found unconscious at Hot Shots Bar & Grill early New Year's Day.

When sheriff's deputies responded to 4532 Plank Rd. shortly after midnight on Jan. 1, Glenwood Cupid, 33 was found lying unconscious on the floor inside the club.

"Mr. Cupid was transported to Mary Washington Hospital, where he remained in a coma until he died on January 4," said Sheriff's Office spokesperson Capt. Jeff Pearce.

Results of the Medical Examiner’s office revealed that Mr. Cupid died as a result of blunt force trauma, Pearce said.

Dwight Horton, 33, is wanted for malicious wounding, stemming from an alleged altercation he had with Cupid.

Horton, who also goes by the street name of “Alamay,” has ties to the Fredericksburg area as well as Georgia. The current charge against Horton could be upgraded, pending additional results from the lab, Pearce said.

Homelessness. Young people just coming home or chilling in Fredericksburg find...shelters are on a "morning you're out" routine. Thank God for 'em though. The churches serves good meals daily and the libraries are warm and welcoming. But young people need HOPE for a better future, some convo we haven't much about especially with strikes already stacked against some. It's miserable and the world is cold like Mom-mom said growing up, its a real eye-opener. Unfortunately, there is little room for screwing up when you're on the bottom ok. ;)
