Debris Collection

Fredericksburg residents can place moderate quantities of tree debris from the storm at the curb or street shoulders so that Public Works crews can collect it all for free until Sunday, July 15. Larger portions of tree debris or those removing entire trees should not place the debris at the roadside, and instead should find a way to take the debris to the regional landfill.

The city's Public Works Department asks residents to not place materials in the streets or near the curbs that block sidewalks, fire hydrants or drainage inlets. Residents also should not mix any other materials with the tree debris. Tree debris will not be collected during regularly scheduled trash collections.

City residents also can arrange for special collection of small quantities of debris after July 15 for a small fee. Call the Public Works Department at 540-372-1023 between 8:15 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
