Drowsy Driver Busted in Stolen Car

A sleeping man in a car turned out to be catching his Z's in a stolen Honda.

A Colonial Beach man was arrested on an outstanding warrant for grand larceny after a Spotsylvania County Sheriff discovered the suspect sleeping in a stolen car. 

Around 6:20 a.m. on July 7, Deputy Mark Buccola noticed a man sleeping in a car at the Ramada Inn on Jefferson Davis Highway. Buccola ran a check on the license plate and discovered that the car had been reported stolen in Henrico County. 

Buccola woke up the man, 27-year-old Jason Loving, and arrested him. Loving was taken to Rappahannock Regional Jail where he was held on a $3,000 bond. The vehicle, a 1997 red Honda Accord, was returned to its owner.
