Drunken Dog Park Assault on Kenmore Avenue

Plus, moped gas tank punctured in daily police incidents, provided by Fredericksburg City Police.

A woman reported an assault Tuesday afternoon at the dog park on Kenmore Avenue.

The victim told police that she was sitting on a bench at the park, at 1505 Kenmore Ave., at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday.

A drunk man then approached her, touched her leg and laid his head on her lap. She was then able to get away and leave the area.

According to police, the suspect is described as a black man in his 40s, 5'11" and 200 lbs., with brown and gray hair. He was wearing a tan leather jacket, dark blue jeans and black tennis shows with a red logo. The man was also carrying a black and gray backpack.

The man also had a medium sized black and brown dog with him that had short curly hair.

VANDALISM: 

Dixon Street Carwash, 1603 Dixon St, 5/5 – 5/6 8:45 a.m. The owner reported that an unknown person damaged a point-of-sale machine at the business. No suspects or witnesses at this time. 

Giovanni’s, 203 Lansdowne Rd, 5/6 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. An employee reported that an unknown person punctured the gas tank of his moped. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
