Fatal Wreck on Interstate 95, Fredericksburg Man Identified

Single-vehicle crash Saturday night near Woodbridge, according to Virginia State Police.

The driver in a single-vehicle wreck died Saturday night on Interstate 95 near Woodbridge, according to the Virginia State Police.

Bruce L. Dickerson, 46, of Fredericksburg, died at the scene. 

Shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday, Dickerson's 2006 Dodge Caravan was reportedly traveling north on I-95. 

As the vehicle began taking the Exit 156A ramp, the van ran off the right side of the road and struck a ditch. The van rode the embankment for approximately 200 feet before overturning onto its roof.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Dickerson was wearing a seat belt.

The exit ramp was closed for approximately 3 hours Saturday night.
