Four Charged in Spotsy Rape Investigation

Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office said a 14-year-old girl and 15-year-old girl reported they were sexually assaulted by four men.

The Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office arrested four men after a nearly 20-day sexual assault investigation.

First Sgt. James Konicki said that a 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl reported on June 21 that they had been sexually assaulted by four men at a home on Hamway Drive in Spotsylvania County. Detective Pattye Harper with the Crimes Against Children Unit found that a man brought the two girls to the home and gave them alcohol. Konicki said the report states that once they became intoxicated the four men took turns sexually assaulting the girls.

"As of July 9, all four suspects were arrested without incident and are being held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond. The investigation is continuing and additional charges may be placed," he said.
