Fredericksburg Man Chased Victim With Machete

A Fredericksburg man faces charges after he chased another man with a machete during an argument, Prince William County Police said. 

Bahram Bahramipanah, 50, of Bellehaven Court, is charged with brandishing a machete. 

Police said that Bahramipanah and a 19-year-old Woodbridge man -- who were strangers to one another -- began arguing around 8:42 a.m. Friday in the 13900 block of Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge. When the dispute escalated, Bahramipanah grabbed a machete out of his car and chased the victim, police said. The victim was not injured. 

Bahramipanah was arrested following an investigation. He was released on a summons.
