Parking Lot Robbery Report Made Up
Fredericksburg police have determined that a report of a May 28 armed robbery in a store parking lot was actually false.
A 42-year-old Locust Grove woman who told Fredericksburg police that she may be the one going to jail soon.
"It has been determined that the robbery that was reported at the on May 28 did not occur," said Fredericksburg Police spokeswoman Natatia Bledsoe. "The investigation is ongoing regarding possible charges against the reporting party.
The woman told police that a man approached her and demanded money, and she was punched when she refused to give him any. The woman reported that the man tok a gun from out of his pants and she then gave him cash.
