Fredericksburg Police Have No Other Allegations Against Former Captain

The Fredericksburg Police Department conducted an internal investigation after former captain Brent M. Taylor was arrested last month, but they aren't aware of any additional allegations against him in the city.

Fredericksburg Police Department officials are not releasing any details of the internal investigation that was conducted after one of their longtime captains was arrested for allegedly having sexual contact with a 17-year-old male. But a department official did confirm today that the department is not aware of any additional allegations of criminal activity in the city that involved Brent M. Taylor, and that there is not a current city-led investigation to determine if this case was an isolated incident.

. He is accused of . Taylor resigned from the police department on Jan. 20, less than two weeks after his arrest on Jan. 7.

The search warrant affidavits provide graphic detail of what detectives believe happened in the hotel room, based on admissions from Taylor and the victim. The documents state that the two met on a gay social network for men called DaddyHunt.com. Some of the documents state that Taylor and the teenager shared nude photos of one another before they decided to meet in person. Detectives noted that Taylor was adamant that the boy convinced him that he was 18 years old. Taylor is 46.

Fredericksburg Police Department spokeswoman Natatia Bledsoe provided the following statement:

We are unable to comment on the specifics of an internal investigation.  At this time, we do not have any allegations to investigate that there was any criminal activity involving Brent Taylor in the City of Fredericksburg.  During the course of the Stafford Sheriff’s Office investigation, we cooperated fully with their detectives.
