FREDERICKSBURG POLICE INCIDENTS WEDNESDAY, JUNE 1, 2011

MALICIOUS WOUNDING:

2300 block Cowan Blvd, May 31 5:25  p.m. A resident reported that his daughter was struck and injured by BB’s that were shot by a neighbor behind their apartment building. The suspect was located inside his residence and the BB pistol was turned over to police. Ad a.m. Perminter, 18, of Fredericksburg was arrested for malicious wounding and discharging a firearm in the city. Perminter was also served with outstanding warrants from Stafford County charging him with trespassing, destruction of property, and entering a property with intent to cause d a.m.age. Perminter was incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond.

BURGLARY:

400 block Confederate Blvd, May 31 7:00  a.m. – 4:00  p.m. A resident reported that she returned home and found the back door d a.m.aged and several items in the home out of order. It was later determined that two laptop computers, a quantity of jewelry, and several other items of value were missing. The investigation is ongoing.

FRAUD:

1400 block Stafford Ave, May 14 – May 28 11:00  a.m. A resident reported that she accepted a job from an advertisement on Craigslist, and the supposed employer sent the victim a check for her to make purchases as part of her position. A few days after depositing the check, the employer sent the victim an emailed message telling her to send a portion of the funds to another party via Western Union. After that transaction was complete, the victim’s bank notified her that the original check was fraudulent. The investigation is ongoing.

V ANDALISM:

1500 block Kenmore Ave, May 20 – May 31 7:15  a.m. A resident reported that she found graffiti spray painted on a pump house. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

1100 block Townsend Blvd, June 1 1:25  a.m. A resident reported that she saw two subjects who appeared to be trying to steal the headlight from her scooter in the parking lot. The attempt caused d a.m.age to the headlight casing. The suspects ran from the area when confronted by the victim and her boyfriend. No known suspects at this time.

COUNTERFEITING:

Hard Times Café, 314 Jefferson Davis Hwy, May 31 12:15  p.m. An employee reported that a male subject used a counterfeit bill to pay for his meal. The subject left the restaurant before the manager could confront him about the fraud. The investigation is ongoing.

ARRESTS:

Richard Edgerton, 27, of Spotsylvania was arrested on a warrant from Spotsylvania charging him with failure to appear in court.

Hazel Scott, 64, of King George was arrested for abuse/neglect of an incapacitated person.

Maryellen Johnson, 18, of Stafford was arrested for felony shoplifting from Kohls, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and on an outstanding warrant from Spotsylvania charging her with failure to appear in court.

Ray Maciano, 20, of Fredericksburg was arrested for possession of marijuana.

Amber Fleming, 19, of Stafford was arrested for possession of alcohol on the riverbank.

Caitlin Colwell, 22, of Stafford was arrested for possession of alcohol on the riverbank.

Jonathan Morris, 21, of Stafford was arrested for possession of alcohol on the riverbank and on a warrant from Stafford charging him with a traffic offense.
