Home Invasion Robber Claimed to Be Law Enforcement

After victims allowed man into home, he pulled out a gun, according to Stafford County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies are investigating an attempted home invasion robbery in Stafford County, according to the Sheriff's Office.

At 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to a home on Riggs Road in the Leeland Station subdivision.

A man had knocked on the door of the victim's home and identified himself as law enforcement. After the subject was allowed into the home, he presented a gun.

The two residents were able to escape unharmed, fleeing to a neighbor's home. Investigators believe the homeowners were specifically targeted.
