Homicide Suspects: One Arrested, One Still At Large
Second suspect is considered armed and dangerous, police said.
Wesley Carlton Smith, 22, has been charged with first degree murder and armed robbery for his involvement in the Nov. 24 shooting death of Rodney Beanum, Jr.
Stafford County Sheriff’s Office detectives detained Smith at about 5 p.m. Dec. 18 and turned him over to the custody of Fredericksburg investigators, said Natatia Bledsoe, Fredericksburg Police Department public information officer.
Smith is incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond.

Lorenzo McKinley Jones, 19, also faces charges of first degree murder and robbery in the homicide of Beanum, Bledsoe said. Jones is considered armed and dangerous. He is known to frequent Richmond and Washington D.C.
