Fredericksburg Police released the name of the shooting victim found in the 1900 block of Howard Ave. early Sunday morning.
Rodney Beanum, Jr., 28, of Fredericksburg, was shot multiple times and died at the scene, police spokesperson Natatia Bledsoe said.
Fredericksburg police found Beanum in the road just after 2:30 a.m., as they responded for reports of gunfire.
Anyone with information about this crime is urged to call the Fredericksburg Police Department at 540-373-3122. Callers are not required to give their names.
