Human Remains Identified in Stafford County

The Chief Medial Examiner's Office has identified the human remains found Dec. 31.

The Chief Medial Examiner’s Office in Richmond positively identified the human remains found in a wooded area behind the GEICO building Dec. 31 as Timothy R. Wait, Stafford County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Bill Kennedy said in a press release.

The preliminary autopsy report and the investigation by the Sheriff’s Office indicate the death of Mr. Wait was not the result of foul play, Kennedy said.

Wait, age 45, of Stafford County, was reported missing by his wife on May 12, 2011. He had been last seen walking in the area of the Mine Road Commuter lot in North Stafford on the evening of May 10. Wait had left his house after a disagreement with his wife, the Sheriff's Office said.
