Two persons approached a man on Celebrate Virginia property at 2200 Gordon Shelton Blvd. and advised him he was not allowed on the property, Natatia Bledsoe, City of Fredericksburg Police Department spokesperson, said.
After being confronted, the subject allegedly fired multiple shots into the ground, before leaving the scene in his white Toyota 4-Runner.
City officers and a trooper with the Virginia State Police responded, and stopped the Toyota near the intersection of Bragg Road and Plank Road.
Bernhard Randhahn, 45, of Fredericksburg was arrested without incident. He was charged with DUI, refusal to submit to a blood or breath test, reckless handling of a firearm, discharging a firearm within the city limits, two counts of brandishing a firearm and two felony counts of discharging a firearm in or on a vehicle, Bledsoe said.
Randhahn was incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond.
