Intruder Scared Off by Resident

FREDERICKSBURG POLICE INCIDENTS THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2011

BREAKING AND ENTERING:

800 block College Ave, Nov. 2 9:00 p.m. A resident reported that he was upstairs asleep in his room and was awakened by the sound of someone entering the home. The resident called out “Who’s there?!”, and a male voice answered that he was the police and not to come downstairs. The resident did proceed to the first floor and saw an unknown male subject in his living room, but the intruder fled from the home immediately and responding officers were unable to locate him. The victim could not provide a description of the suspect because the house was dark. The investigation is ongoing.

LARCENY:

Lane Auto Parts, 316 Forbes St, Nov. 1 – Nov. 2 8:00 a.m. The business owner reported that the license plates were stolen from a company vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

VANDALISM:

Merrymans Florist, 1230 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Nov. 1 – Nov. 2 10:30 a.m. The business owner reported that the driver’s side window on the company van was broken, apparently by BB shot. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

ARRESTS:

Clarence Latney, 19, of Fredericksburg was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Darrell Morton, 22, of Spotsylvania was arrested on a warrant from Richmond charging him with failure to appear in court.
