Leads Sought In Aug. 23 Armed Robbery at RD Mart

Investigators are asking for any information about the case or the suspects' IDs.

Two men entered the RD Mart/Shell gas station, 2301 Plank Road, just before 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, and robbed the store at gunpoint, according to the Fredericksburg Police Department. Investigators are seeking information about the identity of the suspect or any other information related to the case.

According to a police report, one man was armed with a handgun and the suspects took the cash drawer from the register before fleeing toward the rear of the business. No one was injured, according to the report.

Surveillance video caught an image of the suspects and investigators are asking the public whether they recognized either of them.

The first suspect has been described at a black male in his early- to mid-20s, 5-foot-8 to 6-foot-1 in height, weighing 150 to 190 pounds and wearing all black clothing and a gray baseball cap. The first suspect was identified as the man holding the gun.

The second suspect has been described as a black male in his early- to mid-20s, 5-foot-8 to 6 feet in height, weighing 150 to 170 pounds, and wearing a red-hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

Police warn the suspects should be considered armed and dangerous.
