Man Demanded Narcotics At CVS Pharmacy

The suspect ran from the store when the clerk refused to hand over drugs.

Fredericksburg police are on the look out for a man accused of attempting to rob the CVS on U.S. 1 and threatening to harm the pharmacy technician if she did not hand over narcotics.

Fredericksburg Police spokeswoman Natatia Bledsoe said the incident happened at about 12:20 a.m. at the CVS at 591 Jefferson Davis Highway. The employee told police that the man presented a note that requested prescription narcotics.

"The suspect implied that he would harm the employee if she did not comply, but he did not display a weapon," Bledsoe said.
