Man Hit By Car on Fall Hill

FREDERICKSBURG POLICE INCIDENTS THURSDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2011

PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT:

3400 block Fall Hill Ave, Oct. 6, 5:50 a.m. Fredericksburg Police, Fire, and EMS responded to reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in front of the Riverside First Church of God. Responding rescuers found a 47-year-old male lying in the roadway with a head injury and possible fractures of his ankle and arm. The driver of the Chevrolet minivan involved in the accident, a 42-year-old female from Spotsylvania, remained on the scene. Witnesses reported that the pedestrian ran into the roadway in front of the minivan, and no charges have been placed against the driver. The victim was transported by ambulance to Mary Washington Hospital and he is expected to survive his injuries. Fall Hill Avenue was closed to traffic for approximately 50 minutes to allow for the safe removal of the victim and to conduct the crash investigation.

LARCENY:

A Place in Time, 804 Princess Anne St, Oct. 5, 3:00 p.m. An employee reported that items were stolen from the store by two females who ran from the clerk when she followed them out the door. No known suspects at this time.

ARRESTS:

Juvenile male, 15, was arrested for defrauding an innkeeper and underage possession of alcohol.

Robert Brown, 26, of no fixed address was arrested on a warrant from Westmoreland County charging him with grand larceny.

John Rodrigues, 50, of no fixed address was arrested for public intoxication and trespassing.

Ricky Reese, 20, of Fredericksburg was arrested for public intoxication.

Derek Corker, 21, of Fredericksburg was arrested for public intoxication.

Wendy Arenivar, 28, of Stafford was arrested for driving while revoked, possession of a schedule II narcotic, and providing false identification to avoid arrest.
