Man Robbed at Gunpoint

Man turns over wallet, phone after being approached by gun wielding robber. Read more details in today's City Blotter.

ROBBERY:

100 block Hughey Ct, Oct. 9 11:00 p.m. - A resident reported that he was sitting in his vehicle and talking on his cell phone when a male subject knocked on the driver’s side window, pointed a handgun at him, and demanded his wallet and cell phone. There were two other male subjects standing outside the vehicle as well, one at the front of his car and one at the rear. The victim handed over his property to the armed man at his window, and all three suspects then ran from the scene. The suspects were described as black males in their early 20’s and they were all wearing hoodies. The investigation is ongoing.

Calls are in to the police department seeking more information on this story.

1500 block Prince Edward St, Oct. 8 7:30 p.m. – 9:45 p.m. A resident reported that a side door screen was cut and access was gained to the house, where an unknown person stole a quantity of loose change from a dish. The investigation is ongoing.

1400 block Prince Edward St, Oct. 7 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. A resident reported that jewelry was missing from her bedroom. The victim believes that her home was entered through an unlocked door while she was outside working in the yard. The investigation is ongoing.

LARCENY:

1100 block Princess Anne St, Oct. 6 11:00 p.m. – Oct. 7 8:00 a.m. A Stafford resident reported that his vehicle was stolen from a parking space on the street. The vehicle is a 2009 gray Toyota Yaris with Virginia license plates. The investigation is ongoing.

1300 block Rowe St, Oct. 6 8:00 p.m. – Oct. 7 11:00 a.m. A UMW student reported that his bicycle was stolen from his front yard and shortly after discovering the theft he saw a male subject riding the bicycle down the street. The victim followed the suspect and found the bike abandoned next to the Umi restaurant, while the suspect had fled from the scene on foot. Officers later located the suspect at the corner of Rappahannock Ave and Buckner St, and he was positively identified by the victim as the person he had seen riding his bike. Jonathan Shepherd, 22, of Stafford was arrested for grand larceny and possession of marijuana, as well as on an outstanding warrant charging him with failure to comply with a court order. Shepherd was incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $1500 bond.

Wegner Gallery, 719 Caroline St, Oct. 4 – Oct. 7 11:00 a.m. The owner reported that a small bronze statue was stolen from the store. The investigation is ongoing.

900 block Cornell St, Oct. 3 – Oct. 6 2:00 p.m. A resident reported that jewelry was stolen from her home. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

3100 block Linden Ave, Sept. 29 – Oct. 8 4:40 p.m. A resident reported that her lawn mower was stolen from the crawl space under her house. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Giant, 1245 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Oct. 9 8:00 a.m. – 8:50 a.m. A Stafford resident reported that he inadvertently dropped his wallet in the parking lot. The wallet was later turned in to a Giant employee, but the cash had been stolen from it. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

7-11, 3333 Fall Hill Ave, Oct. 10 10:30 a.m. A resident reported that her purse was stolen from her unsecured vehicle in the parking lot. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Pizza Hut, 1224 Powhatan St, Oct. 9 8:45 p.m. An employee reported that his wallet was stolen and his credit cards were used to make purchases at the nearby 7-11. The investigation is ongoing.

WaWa, 2390 Plank Rd, Oct. 10 6:00 p.m. - 7:20 p.m. A visitor reported that his storage bags and contents and the windshield was stolen from his motorcycle in the parking lot. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

VANDALISM:

Kloke Transfer, 300 Lansdowne Rd, Oct. 7 5:00 p.m. – Oct. 8 12:00 p.m. An employee reported that graffiti was found spray painted on a company truck and on a storage box. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

1000 block Heritage Park, Oct. 8 8:00 p.m. – Oct. 9 11:30 a.m. A resident reported that her vehicle was scratched and damaged by a sharp object. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

DUI ARRESTS:

Jeffrey Gibson, 43, of Stafford was arrested for DUI in the 900 block of Princess Anne St and on a warrant from Salem charging him with failure to appear in court.

James Bryant, 39, of Locust Grove was arrested for DUI in the 3300 block of Fall Hill Ave.

ARRESTS:

James Brown, 60, of no fixed address was arrested for public intoxication.

Johnnie Harlow, 46, of Spotsylvania was arrested for public intoxication.

Jeffrey Neel, 49, of no fixed address was arrested for public intoxication.

Jason Horan, 29, of Fredericksburg was arrested on warrants from Hanover charging him with possession of controlled paraphernalia and possession of schedule I,II narcotics.

Philip Dorch, 19, of Vienna was arrested for urinating in public.

Randell Walker, 28, of Spotsylvania was arrested for public intoxication.

Delonte King, 26, of Oxon Hill, Maryland was arrested for public intoxication.

Michael Bates, 34, of Fredericksburg was arrested for public intoxication.

Anthony McNeil, 42, of Washington, D.C. was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.

Kenneth Winn, 43, of Locust Grove was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.

Van Smith, 52, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery.

Nathaniel Merian, 25, of Spotsylvania was arrested for public intoxication.

Michael Jackson, 52, of no fixed address was arrested on a warrant from Spotsylvania charging him with failure to pay child support.

Joseph Watson, 39, of Stafford was arrested for public intoxication.
